Increase Sales by 18% and double your hits - Vendio Gallery Item Up For Auction: Antique Columbia Graphophone. Description: Nice antique Columbia Graphophone cylinder phonograph. This is a nice original phonograph, that is in working condition. It is a model BG, that has a four spring motor, nickel plated top mechanism and mahogany case. The mahogany case has column corners. The Graphophone decal on the front is original as well as the Exposition decal that is on the back. The Exposition decal is for the Paris Exposition in 1900 and the St. Louis Exposition in 1904. The BG model can also play the rare Columbia 6" long cylinder records. This phonograph was just purchased. I didn't do anything to it. The horn is aluminum and has considerable amount dings and dents. I don't know if it's original to the phonograph or not. The mahogany case has two extra holes on the front, that I believe were from a crane bracket, that would have held a larger horn. The nickel plating on the top mechanism is nice. This early phonograph was well cared for. All this phonograph needs is a little detailed cleaning and lubrication, since it's been stored for many years. I'm not sure what would be the best way to ship. I'm thinking, that it would be best to take the mechanism out of the cabinet, but this would require a larger box. Size: Approx. 16" x 15 3/4" x 11".
